KANSAS CITY — The Twins have been one of the contending teams actively searching for starting pitching help heading into Saturday’s non-waiver Trade Deadline.but now that Dan Haren and Cliff Lee — two of the big name starters that were on the market — have already been traded and the Twins starting pitchers entered Tuesday having posted a 1.06 ERA during the last turn of the rotation, perhaps the Twins might also be exploring other avenues in which to improve the club before the 3 p.m. CT deadline on Saturday.The Twins also appear to be on the lookout for bullpen help. One national report on Tuesday said that the Twins are interested in Nationals closer Matt Capps, but a deal was deemed unlikely as it’s unclear if Washington is even willing to deal Capps or what the cost might be.The Twins did lose one lefty reliever when Brian Duensing moved into the rotation after having provided them with a successful option in the late innings. but the club could have a left-handed relief option at Triple-A Rochester in Glen Perkins, who threw seven innings and allowed just one run on Monday night for the Red [...]
